The more the better. If using 4040XLP I think they can take up to 300psi. Don't quote me.
We run ours at 125psi. Gets the water down from 078 to 001. We resin filter the last bit out.

I was running a 4040 RO straight from mains with high pressure and my TDS had slowly risen to 42 after 4 years of constant use. I wasn't flushing out much waste water either because I was always filling my van tank as quickly as possible because I had fitted a flow restrictor to the waste flow. Then after reading this forum I fitted a booster pump and regularly flush my RO and my TDS is back down to 003. It's like having a new RO again. Don't have to buy so much DI resin anymore.

Good advice from easyclean. Always flush your RO regularly.
