extreemley bad customer service from Sebo UK
« on: May 14, 2007, 08:16:43 pm »
Folk always go on about sebo vacume cleaners telling you how good they are.
I have two BS36 and one BS46 for nearly ten years now and have had no trouble with either of them apart from replacing the odd filter, brush strip and paper bags and I must admit they are very efficient!!
6 months ago I purchased a Sebo Dart the 37cms and thought it was quite a versatile vacume with moving body .
I notced today that one of the lamp covers had gone astray they are about the size of a penny piece and are on the top of the brush unit
I telphoned Sebo Uk only to find out that they were not a replaceable part .
I would say that they were very unhelpfull and told me that if I wanted to repair the plastic covers I would have to replace the whole vacume unit.
They did go on to say that if the cleaner had been one of there domestic lines they would have sent a service engineer out the next day and would have repaired the cleaner as part of the warrantee and would not have made any charge to me.
I will never ever recomend Sebo again to any of my customers, i feel that I would of got a much better service had I bought a Dyson Vacume cleraner domestic or commercial best regards Stuart  Cl;ark

If you had a Dyson you would have got excellent service. My Mrs just phones them up whenever a piece of plastic snaps off or a turbo head burns out and we get a replacement within 48hrs every time!

I bought a dart for the church I go to.  From memory the commercial machine was cheaper but little warrenty and the domestic machine was more expensive with a warrenty both with the same performance.

Its a great wee machine for in and around the pews but the build quality is way off the mark for a commercial machine.

The thing is,i bought a K1 komfort a couple of years ago and when we had a problem with the ratchet telescopic handle they were straight out no quibbling free of charge and that vacume was half the price of the dart,
I would think twice before I bought another Sebo of any discription!! I will probably look at columbus or karcher next time !! Hope they look after there customers better regards Stuart  Clark
