busted

window vents

hi all
        in the last week i ve had problems with cleaning vents on plastic ẁindows where when i ve gone back to check the windows there is spotting on them where the water has come out of the vent can anyone please give some advice many thanks busted

If poss clean above the vents on the first clean but avoid getting water in the vents ie dont scrub the vent itself.

On the next clean try to clean under the vent without actually touching it.

Vents  are the nightmare of wfp
Some say avoid like the plague
Some say do them.
I personally leave them well alone.
One the odd occasion I have had to do them
I have actually cleaned them out with a dry paintbrush
and damp scrim before poling them.
Worked for me.

Depends what type of vents.....

Mostly they are vents that have a cover over them....they don't cause too much trouble...................

However the vents that are open............. >:( When you wash the frame first time they will drip out usually from either end of the vent.
The best bet is to avoid them. But iff you do do them you'll have to go back when the windows are dry and re wash just the glas underneath the vents to wash of the drip marks :( ::)

Cleaned some new windows recently and they didnt have vents.

When I asked the customer why, he replied all new windows come without vents now.

Is this true or maybe he had cheap windows?

They only have vents if its a new build house or extension mainly!!

I know I might sound thick..... well, I WILL sound thick LOL, but which vents are you guys referring to? Do you mean the small rectangular holes in the tops of the frames?
