What's the point of a gooseneck? Is it stronger and lighter than the plastic angle?

It'll help to get over deep sills better, there's not much difference in weight the metal ones are a fixed angle though whereas the plastic ones are adjustable but can break if you tighten the brush too much
I have both kinds and use them both equally

I have 2 unger plastic adjustable angles that are 5 years old and used daily- but the brush head weights are approx 8oz they only break if you use too heavy brushes.
Make at least 2 goose necks( I get 4) from a double angle tv arial mast from B&Q £9
