Holiday Home Pricing
« on: April 30, 2007, 09:10:49 am »
Hi,

One of our regular domestics has just asked whether we can look after her holiday home (3-bed flat) each week on changeover day. This wouldn't be a problem for a normal clean, but I am struggling to know the going rate for a regular clean of this sort.

Any advice on how a normal domestic quote translates into this sector appreciated, as well as any pitfalls you may be able to think of. So far, my list is;

* stuck to a specific time in/time out
* area is sometimes difficult to get to in the Summer
* occupying tenants may still be there, causing a delay to us (plus wage expenditure)

All advice appreciated.

I manage a couple in torquay and charge £65 per change over plus £195 per year for key holding the people are told to leave by 10am and the new people are told to arrive after 2pm the owner gives the customer my number and they phone me usually the day before to let me know what time they will be arriving and then phone me again when they are about 10 mins away.

the custy supplies all linen, its working out allright it can be a bit of a pain in the arse but it only takes 30mins to do the changeover and I put the linen in the lauderette on a service wash for £6.50 so I basically make £52 per change over cos I pay someone an hour to do it.

the ones I manage are only 2 bed so you might want to add a bit for the third bedroom  ;D ;D ;D

Cheers for replying - very interesting .. .

The lady said it only took her 30mins to do it, but won't be able to do it this year (she's pregnant).

I'll figure it out . . .  ;)
