Hi Alex,
I notice on your site you sell that little yellow and black sub pump.
Do the dimensions H 16cm W 9.9cm include the pipe outlet?
Will this pump drop straight in the 5-1/2" hole in my static?

99mm includes the hose barb, but obviously not the hose attached to it.
99mm = about 4 inches, so yes it should fit into your IBC. Remember though that it is a 12v pump not 240v.

Pro Pole,
I had the same problem when I was setting up my static IBC and from the experience I had there are only 3 options open to you.
1/ Buy that 12v sub pump from Gardiners.
2/ Buy a borehole/well pump which are designed to fit inside 4" soil pipes but will set you back at least £300.
or
3/ This is the option I took - swap the 5.5" IBC for the 8" IBC - it took me a long time to find out they actually come in 2 sizes.
Hope this helps

Propole,
It does not come with Crocodile clips, but I'm sure you could pick some up from Halfords.

There is a vast choice of 240v sub pumps on the market. If they're too big to fit through the IBC filler hole, cut a couple of slots from the edge of the hole so you can open it up, drop the pump through then close the slots up again. Screw the lid back on and cover the slots with gaffer tape or similar.
I've got two Draper sub pumps, one in the IBC and one in my waste water sump, cost me about £35 each
