Should be the same as whe you use any other machine, it's how you sell your service.

Probably the same as a portable, you can only push the fuse box so far and a porty is probably right on the limit.

Didn't someone say it was about 80p an hour, I just tell the customer it's about £5 a minute, use me and it cost nothing!. ;)

Your dead right Shaun and it worked out at 3 units an hour at the time back in 2000 2001 that would have been 22p an hour  ;D
If only I could run my petrol machine for the same costs  today :'(

Doesn't matter what the electric is because it's not your cost!

Just curious local guy to me has one and he told me his bane is more powerful than the prowler today::) He reckons it cost customer 20p for the two hours he was than in electricity which I thought was a bit of a porky

Is the prowler really that good...................it's the concept that I always dreamed of but just arrived a little late for me, but I really love the concept.

A brand new bane is about £10,000 + vat

A brand new prowler is £5999 + vat

 ;)

And I think that the Bane probaby weighs more   :o

The prowler looks impressive, the only thing that bothers me is the 24 blower. No other machine uses that size which makes me wonder if it is big enough. Also on the Dresser roots website they seem to be saying that the airflow for that size blower is low.

I guess the answer is to arrange a demo with Mr. Kelly and see for myself, aswell as prizing as much out of folks who already have one.

yes the blowers smaller but it runs faster rember unlike any other machine this blower is water cooled and if it run dry is fine as there is no load on it.

theres a 12mth warrenty from roots ( the makers) , and the prowler has no recovery tank so try one, it has more suck than a sucky thing in sucky land!

p.s i test them for john so know a bit about them.

yes met him as well he has the same type of van we use!

although he's got one 1.9d we have three 2.5tdi's

tells me that a\fter 3 years ( registraions plates don't lie) that he will be getting his van lined out with a better system than ours, also he reckon ikea do the best van racking

think if he had stayed a bit longer elvis was doing a comeback gig at the arena and he had tickets!

only spoke to him as oppo said there a doggy looking f***ker sinfing abvout the van.

as for 20p hour ( never belive a salesman) you can't boil a kettle for that

we have all had someone like that in our lives, I  remeber a kid at school who could always get it cheaper and better than you, call his bluff ask him to clean your house on a meter and if he used 20p in a hour you pay any more and you won't . Ii'll lend you a plug in instant readout meter

Your twice the cleaner he is, and probably have twice the power

do the math you have 13hp and on single phase domestic supply anything unregulated over 1hp starts to blow fuses.

either he's full of it or he's changed the laws of physics.

p.s have you turned the temprature down or are you  still steamy steve

On the cost of leccy - I run a Ninja, and do a lot of holiday lets on card meters. When leccy runs out I push the emergency button, so I get to see exactly what the charges are! The Ninja with vac booster on, at max temp using cold water on autofil uses about 44 - 54p/hr in leccy on expensive (card meter rate) tarrifs. ( up to 60p/hr if warming full tank of cold water)
So if custy moans about 3 power cords, I tell 'em I can take one cord off, use less leccy, take longer to do job - leccy is cheaper than me, and job not as good!

Anyone out there running a TM for 60p/hr? ;D
