Due to a full calendar I am not able to respond at short-notice, so that in itself would limit the amount of flood work I do.
Add to this the fact that I do not consider myself sufficiently qualified for full flood remediation work, so my involvement is limited to 'first-aid' treatment.
The pricing structure is basically a call-out charge plus site-time plus hire of any equipment left on site (blowers etc.). To this I add the cost of fungicides etc. used.
Area-based charging does not make sense for this sort of work since a great deal of time can be spent bringing in electricity from a neighbouring building, uplifting and refitting carpet, 'holding hands' with distraught customers or simply waiting for a process to complete.
