Let me throw the question back at you Neil, "What is the most number of Jobs you Have done in one day and more important what was the average ticket price?"

Anybody can dash about doing loads of jobs, but in MY opinion this is NOT how to make good money Carpet Cleaning!!
I get better looking each day!!

John This question wasn,t based on money, but on how much effort you can excert before the quality of work detieriorates.
that is why I said not including sebo duo,s etc and truckmounts come to that.

Neil ps
at the moment money comes second, improving my knowledge of carpet cleaning and building up agood customer base  comes first 8)

I prefer just one job a day. I regularly do 2. The most I'll do is 3 if they are minimum charge jobs. Even if I was finished at Midday, I wouldn't do any more.

Safe and happily speedy cleaning:)

If I read your post correctly no equipment is to use! A terry towel/spray bottle comes into that category.  My jobs would be zero.

Thanks for your feedback Neil, I will now give you my answer which would be the same as the Hells Angel from Alvechurch (dear old Ken), 2 if pushed to it but I prefer 1 good job a day start at 9.30 finish by 1.30pm at the latest.

When I first started out I sub-contrated to a Splash & Dash guy, one Saturday I cleaned 5 X 3 piece suites, 2 x lounges and 3 H/S/L, not advised but it put me in very good stead for telling clients how these guys operate.

I almost forgot to tell you the best part, he paid FOOL ME £70.00, I used my own machine, own chemicals and did a lot miles travelling between jobs.
I get better looking each day!!

I'd love to do 1 job in a morning and 1 in the afternoon but it doesn't always work out like that.

That is why I have a TM to speed my cleaning up, a TM offers a very good clean the same as most a portables but faster, that is why I do more than 2  or 3 jobs a day and work on average 8 to 12 hours a day.

I’m very interested in earning money, but Neil put limitations no equipment. If he said how many jobs per day, my reply as many as I could fit in, but on an average 3 the most is 6 two where commercial.

Len your right, Neils question is impossible to answer. I do as many jobs as i want, if I started to see carpet cleaning as un-enjoyable then it would be less.

I see work as a way to earn enough  money to have a fantastic social life :D

Did 5 jobs today 10am-5.30pm of different sizes.  Student lets.  Will be doing the same all week and maybe next week too.

It only happens once a year and I enjoy doing them as the difference after cleaning is astounding.

Mark

PS. I didnt sleep in but had the yellows pages rep at 9am to discuss my ad.  They wanted £70 for an ad that looked crap, wrong colours, very old graphics (the type extracta use).  So I told her to take a hike.

I prefer not to do more than 2 biggish jobs per day.

I find that after that one I am knackered and two standards start to drop.

Did 5 jobs once - Too many!! :P
