Unger, cheap and will last for ever.

But heavy and whippy over conservatories.

I use a 12ft fibreglass and a modular(fishing pole).
It's a game of three halves!

If the house needs more than 12ft then I use the modular for all of it.
It's a game of three halves!

Hi Paul,

I would suggest one without time consuming clamps.  One that will extend to 24 foot which will do conservatory roofs with ease without adding sections, and close to under 4 foot for bottom windows, and fitting neatly in the back of a small car or van.  It would have to be rigid and very light, and have a valve on the brush head for turning the water on and off, so as I can work longer in the day, or carry less water around with me. It would also have to save me some time over the course of the day, say maybe between 30% to 50%.  It would also be very handy if it could be put up to any height in seconds, and come down even faster, that way I wouldn't have to wrestle with trees or washing lines as I move from window to window.;D ::)

Agreeing with Sqeaks. My downstairs 15' 3part telescopic excel is great, but there are some upstairs it won't do, so may need an 18'.When i have tow switch to my heavier aluminium poles with a tangle of exterior pipe it's horrible.
You are going to need more than one pole eventualy, if even only for dirty jobs, so make the best decision you can. I would recomend the 18" excel (which I haven't got) from cleantech £98.

By an amazing coincidence, I don't suppose you happen to sell one like that do you Peter?   ;D

Are you being carcastic Peter- as in window cleaners want a cheap pole that will do everything. I've heard that you've got something up your sleave but a four foot that goes twenty four and can be extended horizontaly I would like to see.

All will be revealed at the trade show next week.

Although the pole I will have with me at the show will do all the things mentioned, it will be much better in the coming months.

The reason for the delay, and lack of evidence to back up my statements, is getting the necessary legal protection in place.

I would say all you need is a 24ft carbon fiber facelift  a superlite pole and a short pole i use a 2x2ft for downstairs,if it`s a smallish job i will use the facelift anything of bigger proportions i always use the superlite i actually find that i can do a better job with the superlite pole as it`s so light you can scrub more without fatique and you can also direct the brush better due to it`s lightness. You can buy the SL35 pole and if you ever need to go higher you can just buy sections for it,one of the main reasons WFP is so much quicker and easier compared to trad wc is due to this pole in my opinion.

the unger is great, sure its a bit heavier, BUT you get used to it, if you dont know any better then its fine

though i would buy "cleantechs own brand" as its much cheaper

Don`t let the price put you off poles it`ll save you money in the long run when you can cancel your appointments at the osteopaths, sore shoulders, aching neck, tennis elbow to name a few, that light pole will cure all of the above trust me.

Okay then. Predicted price of the pole shouldn't need legal protection should it?

I do have a 24' fibrglass FACELIFT on order. But would get yours a well if others on this forum agreed that it does what it says on the box.

To be able to use one pole on most houses would be a dream.

If the pole is taller than me then it`s got to be carbon, and when i said facelift i meant CARBON FIBER not glass fiber.

You can have my twenty four foot glassfibre in mint condition for sixty pounds if you want.

The price for the first batch will be £130.00, but like I said earlier the pole will develop a lot over the next few months, and it may end up nothing like that price, as it will depend on what they cost me to manufacture.

There has only been two people apart from me used the pole so far, one of which has given his feedback on my window-tools forum.  Not much to go on so far that is why I would rather people see and use one for themselves at the trade show before I sell any.

Really you could be using the one pole on most houses already.  All you need is a pole you can add sections to, the hose on the outside of the pole, and a releasable secured brush.  Having said that, the person on my site which gave the feedback was using the set-up above, and still saw a significant time saving with the new pole.  He also said he could never go back to the old method of working.

NWH can I ask what you see as the difference between glass and carbon fibre?

The supplier pushed me towards Glass because there isn't much weight difference, and the bottom section is glass anyway.

(I mean apart from the obvious like price)
