yeah, my round is fairly compact. Indeed, when I was traditional I used to walk for most of my work. I am now WFP trolley and have a van, but still my round only covers a quater of the estate (with 2 or three jobs per street I leafleted...) The 12 jobs I got from that first leaflet drop were the cheaper end of the estate I have to admit, where there may not have been a window cleaner for quite some time hence the highish response rate, but they have all remained happy customers (even through the transition from trad to WFP).
And other leaflet drops in other areas have had a good response too. A typical drop of 500 of these leaflets will return maybe 5 jobs just from those leaflets, plus another 1 or two from word of mouth / recommendation.. Still not a bad response for a couple of hours fresh air
