To check if you have a leak on your vac put the engine onto full revs and then block off the vac pipe with your hand or something. Look at the vac gauge and make a note of the reading ( in hg). Then phone woodbridge and check what the reading should be ( i cant remember - 13 or 14 hg ? )

You should leave your temp on full all of the time. If you turn it down the machine will dump loads of water. It dumps water into the waste tank to control the temp.
You can have it set up to dump back into the fresh water tank. I have done this and a tank of water will last me all day.

You shouldnt have water coming out of the exhaust. Phone woodbridge.

I had a couple of small problems in the first month, stick with it, they are a good machine

regards

Chris

ps  Water out of the blower exhaust could have been caused by foam in the carpet ? I did have a " blow back" of water / steam once, but it soon cleared up . Carpet was FUll of 1001 soap.

Thanks for the replie Chris ,    just checked it and it was 15 HG so it must be the coupling that join the vacuum hoses together where im loosing the vac pressure.
 Thanks John

I find that Hydra dry from hydramaster works best in my machine. 16 scoops to 25 ltr chem jug ( prochem blue scoops).

250 to 300 psi .

400 on heavy soiled commercial.

Do you have a rev counter ? If not , get one  ;)

Run the machine at 2500 to 2600 rpm for carpets and 2200 to 2300 for suites.

The machine uses more fuel when its new. After about 250 hrs you will notice a big difference.

any questions just ask away mate.

My machine is just 12 months old now. Its a bit of a sharp learning curve at first  :( but I am a commited truckmounter now.  ;D

John, its possible your cut off switch/float in the waste tank is faulty if water is being pumped out of the blower!

To stop the machine dumping turn the thermostat to full temp if possible and do all the necessary work before tuning the machine on, most TM's will start to dump large qty's of water if you keep putting the wand down for a long spells!

Thanks Phil ,after reading Chris Rs post i think the problem is with me not the machine I think i am doing to many cleaning strokes with the wand thats why im useing so much water+ ive been cleaning at 400 psi . The float in the waste tank is working alright when i lift it up it knocks the machine off

It will just be suds in the waste tank that makes it spit out water and steam.

If it happens again just lift the lid and chuck a bit of anti-foam in and you will be fine.

I tried liquid formula 90 in mine but dont like the idea of it as if you or a passer by knock the chemical gauge, and turn it up by accident you will be cleaning at a higher ph which is just a insurance claim waiting to happen in my book.

May need your help again John, Same job same carpet but different hamster cage. :-\
What it mush be like to have money  ???

And on your water lift  John you should be looking at around 10 to 13 inches any more and your engine will be labouring on lock down. Not to mention the increased fuel consumption. ;)

I checked the vac gauge reading ( hg ) on my machine today.

Max revs ( 3400) and block off vac pipe.

It went up to 13.5 hg.
