Rob paul and myself have been do the leaflet thing for a while
1)TRADEPRINT 10,000 LEAFLETS
2)put you name photo and address on your leaflet
3)give a example of the price you will be charging eg 10x10=£25 25p per sq foot
4)target the area you want to work I put out a couple of hundred in one area then move to another but try to keep it within 7-10 miles bit futher than most due to locality
5)I DONT PUT DATES ON THE LEAFLETS,BUT DO LIMITED OFFERS BY PRINTING ON THE BACK
6)get someone you can trust to get them out for you
7)adjust all the rest to suit yourself and market area
8) they dont work straight away just done a job today and he had my leaflet from 3 weeks ago
9) keep at it
10) If in doubt ask mike halliday nearly all his ideas and do work              Good luck

Rob I don't want to sound like an old fuddy-duddy but unless you fill in your profile some people won't give you advise.

we like to know we arn't giving away secrets to local competition ;)

Just to pee on everyones elses bonfire, don't bother using full colour, it makes no difference to responce so you might as well save your money and just pay for single.

i inflate my prices.........50% off for two weeks only, well this is how i started after doorknocking

the two weeks only will work, i agree with mike halliday on colour, i got 1000 full colour, pertty picture no prices.......i got 2 phone calls...........in 8 months......i am very perdantic on asking everyone where they saw me advertised.

i have been using blue leaflet verynice looking, black writing, with my special offer.......it works.......on an average..drop i get 0.75% response, i pay £90 for 10,000 leaflets.......thats a very good price, u wont be doing wrong if u get near or better price,

i started 18months ago, and have been leafleting for 13months, the biggest bug bear is getting the leaflets out............if u want a job doing properly go and do it yourself.....especially at first, this way u no the response u get, eventually u will may find like me that it is a compete nob ache getting them out. but look to target 3-5000 leaflets a week.............if u manage this u will make money, not just a wage..............if u gonna put out 5-600............then u aint making no money, i think the way to go forward is to cover every advertising,
yellow pages
leaflets
newspaper
local newsletters
the broader the sepctrum the less reliant u will be on leaflets.......

ps,make sure u put 50% off for two weeks only. with your prices on........ur phone will buzz, if u get 3-5000 out a week,

pps, it takes 6hrs for 1000 leaflets, so get ur wife, mother sister brother, helping ya, if u aint got no family get down the ymca and and find someone, you can see by getting 3 of ya......3-5000 over the week is very achiveable.i bet ya take a grand a week.......if ur pricing is right

dunny, You say you achieve results by offering 50 %

What is your Full price and 50% off price  for a 20feet X12 room with 3 non moveable wall units aprox I metre wide half a metre deep thats each wall unit.

How much for a 3 seater and two armchairs suite.

Mike I know puts his prices on leaflets,

at present I do not as I believe I am giving competion chance to undercut me. As phone around will know my prices but not the competions/

What do you think

I have heard of the pink leaflet that produces amazing results  Anytime you need more customers .

What is its content  Story line Just an outline will do

Ie Heading,

Aprox Text,

Offer

etc

Rob

If you also do any other venture like PW/WC you could have these on the back, it cost a little more but may be worth it.

Like Mike I also have a thing about profiles, thanks for filling them in now you have some credibility.

Care should be taken in inflating your price then offering what ever off, could upset your regular customers as they may receive one then you will be in the Dunny, would like to use another word but not into stars and crosses.

No good to anyone else but I bet I get the cheapest leaflets on here. Bought a Thermal Duplicating machine (big printer) from a bloke in a pub and can design own on computer and print up to 100000 in less than an hour. Best 60 quid I ever spent
