Mr G

In the future why not try 25% for 2 weeks before your week off, and 25% for 2weeks after.

Just a thought

I'd like to Nick, but who knows what the weather'll be like the fortnight after? knowing my luck it'll be blizzards and tsunami's!

yeah, and as you say, I'll probably have to catch up afterwards, cos you can only do so much. It's the feet that go first!

I never try and play catch up or work the next weeks work so i can have that week off.

Last week i decided on the Monday i was going to have the week off, so i did.

Customers won't mind you been a week late.

Like you said you going to tire yourself out for your holiday.

This is one reason i like doing this job - i can come and go as i please.

Plan your work around your time off and plan ahead guys otherwise you won't be round to have a holiday. If you have a week off in April planned, tell those customers in March that you are having a well earned rest in April and will be back asap in May. ;D

do many of you do this? i did it and its the worst mistake i made, i had pole ups and someone working below, i got so far ahead and was waiting round for him, and he'd be waiting for the drips to stop

i got rid of him 3 months ago and now earn more and do more on my own with wfp the whole house!

I've worked this way with Wor Lass now for 19 months now, and with a bit of thought; it's easy.

She starts a suitable point; a bungalow/conservatory/area with no windows above/or waits five minutes (this is rare) and I crack on with doing tops only with a backpack.

She follows, collecting or leaving 'your window cleaner has been' notes.

When I get too far ahead, I put my belt kit on and start squeegying back towards her; when I get close, I go back to the pole and begin again.

It's great!
