John, try using some car polish called Mer, you can get it from Halfords and use it on wet surfaces.

or you could try the same polish as most car dealers use, you just put it in some warm water and pour it over the car/caravan then rinse, its dead simple, really easy to apply and does a nice job.

Try some 'Bobby Dazler'. I know the name may put you off but its made by a company called Fenwicks and you add it to your rinse water. Good stuff and not too stupidly priced.
Available from most caravan retailers I beleive.

I use the one Ronaldo said (MER). It is a bit expaensive but it works great.
When i wash the van ( & my Caravan) i put a couple of cap fulls in the water.
It does say on the bottle you can add it too the water.
