Hi Neil

The YP angle is that 0845 allows you to monitor calls but in businesses which only take a few calls a day,  it's easy to monitor with a standard number.

In my view a local number is precious and best not to lose it.

Do you pay extra for the 0845 number?

Spot on Doug,I always go for the local number never a free phone or 0845
Gives the impression of big company and not the friendly chap from around the corner.

Guys
be very careful when they quote call rates on other adverts, as you know they rent our phone numbers out on their database. just think about the amount of sale calls you get each week. you will have to estimate this and then subtract it from any number quoted by the rep.

I have two local area codes that I use and an 0800. No one hardley ever rings on the 0800, they prefer a local number
