Think so

Home n Dry Ltd is a cc franchise (Host type system)

Home n Dry is a franchise they are based in Colne Lancashire, it is a dry cleaning system, we looked at this as well as all the other franchises when we started up ADL Cleaning Services LTD. "They claim that the home n dry cleaning system extracts all the dirt and spills leaving it dry"  "That the pile is brushed, lifted and restored allowing deep down cleaning which freshens and revitalises the carpet.

The best bit is that they claim that it is recommended by leading manufacturers throughout the world.

However the downside to this franchise is that they limit a franchisee to only a small postcode area about 40,000 homes in their area and then they must purchase additional packages if they want to expand.

In their brochure they advise prices of;

lounge carpet  £45.00
Dining room carpet £35.00
Bed 1  £35.00
Bed 2  £20.00
Bed 3  £20.00
3 piece suite  £75.00

But wait for the best bit """only £25.00 for fabric protector!!!

When we spoke to them one of the questions that we asked was what sort of vehicle should we be purchasing for the equipment,  their reply was that it doesnt really matter how small as they have fitted the system into a 2 door astra hatchback.

We didnt look at this system much further, our thoughts was that this was a get quick rich scheme by the directors at home n dry.

Extract from thread on franchising on another forum forum Aug 11th 2004:-

"Hi All,

I started out with the Home'n'DRY
(DRY CARPEY CLEANING) IT COST 9950 + VAT

COULD HAVE BOUGHT THE EQUIPMENT FOR HALF THE PRICE SORRY FOR SHOUTING.
Just wanted to tell you.
Stpped trading as home n dry 2 years ago and my turnover went 50% the next year!

Research the market !

Barry."
