Paulking may i ask what it is you do? Do you sell carpet cleaning equipment?
I would really appreciate it mate if you could measure the psi of your so called machine i would be really interested to see if yours is the same as mine.

Paul Wright, you are most probably right you know he did say he was going to send me a tenser spring so i could have more pressure at hand but never did. I have given him loads of chances to come clean if he has sold me something which he has advertised being more powerful then it is. If this is the case i will be abit annoyed.
cheers
matt

matt will take a look on wednesday, first chance i'll get not sure just how i will measure the pressure yet but in at Thorite in that morning so will ask them nicely too cobble something together, as for what i do, I'm a carpet cleaner, or 10 years, it just depends on which tariff you use.  ;)

jokes aside honestly i'm just a carpet cleaner, I've been nice to customers and they have been nice to me. that's about it.

Hi paul in a mo i will hopefully upload some pics for ya. My pump does look quite hefty. The way my guage is made is i have a t-junction with a female q/c and a male q/c and a guage measuring to 580 psi pretty simply really all standard 1/4" fittings my local pirtek sorted me out. The way i plugged my gauge in was to connect it between the end of my solution hose and between the wand/handtool this i believe is the most accurate way of doing it because apparently if you connect it from the machine q/c and the solution hose you get surges from the pump which will not only give an inaccurate reading but may also damage the gauge itself. Also you want to know what is coming out of the wand head itself.

I have one of vernons 200psi pumps as an upgrade to a 135. The difference is staggering. If you look at the masterclean website, you will see they supply a whole range of pumps. The 200 and the 500 certainly don't appear to be the same.

One word of caution though. If you do buy one from Masterclean you may

NOT GET A RECEIPT FROM THEM, EVEN AFTER NUMEROUS EMAILS AND A PHONE CALL.

Matt, Paul is a very busy guy and has some unfortunate family illness issues at the minute, I'm sure he'll get back to you when he can.
Can you email your address?
