can anybody out there help me, What do I use to clean rust off paving slabs

There is no one chemical to clean all paving slabs, much depends on the mineral/colouring content of each slab.
Remember to test first on a small area

Try these: Lemon Juice -  let it soak in for 5 mins then scrub with brush and then wash off with clean water, or you could use white vinegar (spirit vinegar) in the same way.

As a last resort - Oxalic Acid is good on concrete or stone, im not sure on using it paving slabs, but its very toxic, so use with caution!

phosphoric acid works it is in a lot of toilet cleaning fluids,just leave on for five minutes and rinse

Woodbridge comercial in harlow do a great rust remover for carpet cleaning, i cant see why you couldnt use it on paving slabs

 wet the surface then apply brick acid ( from builders merchant ) pressure wash with turbo lance. repeat till staining is gone. be carefull not to over do the turbo you might damage the surface. take care with the acid too.
