Stuart:

I wouldn't touch it at less than £10, but that's my minimum price.  To sweeten the pill, you could offer to include the cladding.  Once it's clean it only needs a sweep over every time to keep it looking good - takes about 30-40 seconds.

I always include the guttering on conservatories - again once it's clean it only takes seconds to wash over, and makes all the difference.

Always stress that these bits are included when you quote - the customers should be well impressed ;)

Cheers,

Ian

I'd say £8.00 is ok, but you aren't going to be driving a 5 series beamer anytime soon with prices like that...Mondeo man maybe?

Tenner a clean? Well a bit better, and around here you would stand a good chance of getting that...

£12.00 per clean?
Well you might get up to a 3 series beamer on that  ;)

If you could get £15.00 then you would be on very good money indeed, but you wouldn't stand a snowballs of getting that around here.

What would I charge?

I'd charge a tenner, great money if you can get a string of them, but I prefer drive betweens and bigger accounts, so I use accounts like this as fillers.

I do have a few at £8.00 but any future ones of this kind of size will be going up to a tenner.

I do some on one estate where several are at the £8.00 mark, maybe not quite the same as the house in the picture, but I think a similar amount of work, in a few months there will be a load of new people in these houses (army) and the whole lot will be going up to a tenner.

I would class that as 5 1/2 windows at the front.

What does everyone else class it has

£8 if it is surrounded by others or if in a street but if it was on its own somewhere ( and a few of my houses are totally isolated ) I could get £10 or even £12 for something like this.

6 windows.

2 panes per "window" I always call it.

2 1/2 at the top.
2 on the bottom.
1 1/2 for the door  = 6.

The price would mainly be dictated to by the type of house it is.

It is a very simple house  and would be straightforward to do, (max 10min) I would not want to charge more than £8 per clean as it is not a 'grand' house.

Personally I would only take this job on if I had a run of them (minimum 3). Otherwise I would charge £12 and hope I didn't get it.

I am in Cornwall and the properties around here go from simple mining cottages to seaside resort mansions with £2million pound price tags. Whichever area I was in though this house would get the same price.
