I did a restaurant yesterday morning, I wanted to finish it off with a pad but forgot I'd taken them off the van.  So I got one of my hand towels, folded it in half and used that, then i turned it over and used the other  side, and then folded it the other way and used it both sides again!! so out of 1 towel I get 4 different sides.

it worked brilliantly :D :D it did look live a propeller with the square sides sticking out but without a doubt I will bonnet like this next time.

and the towels are very absorbent and really pick up the dirt.

That has given me an idea. You could join 3 white towels together, sow them up in a circle and cut it out, stitch it a few times cross ways to strenghen it.
Got to be cheaper than buying pads at £15 each plus the dreaded and delivery..
You could even stitch a felt middle section through it to make it really strong.

Paul find a seamstress and its a good idea, I''ve yet to find a really absorbant bonnet, hand towels tend to be 40inch x 20 inch so are perfect folded & used with a 17inch drive bourd.

here's a picture to show i'm not pulling your plonker, the other side looks the same, this was after HWE-ing the carpet
