« on: March 08, 2007, 08:11:17 pm »

24 windows that are about 2'x2'
9x  windows that are about 6'x3'
16 windows 5'x3'

couldn't take any other photos as government property and their a bit hot on it!
oh yeah wfp -of course!!!!

Thanks in advance! ?

£300 anything lower is not worth it, including  the travel time. If its a goverment building you can t be sure to be able crack straight on with out the usual dramas.

maybe its saturday and everyone is cracking on with other things, dont get too offended it just happens at times

I would say about £250 - £300

Another question did you do a test window to see how long it takes ?

I always do this then multiply the time up then add an hour or 2

Newpy,

I,,ll have a go for you, our work is all commercial. But without looking it is only only  a 'guessedamet'.

Your description states that there are 108  x pictured window ie 8 panes. So this is worked out on the photo being 1 of 108.

108 X £4.50 = £486.00

9     X £1.50 = £13.50

24   X £1.00 = £24.00

16   X £1.50 = £24.00           TOTAL = £547.50

Thats the value of the glass cleaned , but you,ve now got to decide on area & competition etc.

I personally think £400.00 to £450.00 but without looking proper this is only a guess.

A 3 man team could do that in a day wfp easily, the client requires a quick & efficient service with the least disturbance possible.

Other things to think of are Payment Terms, CRB, Police Checks etc. Equipment used wfp or trad if low level, so risk assessment & method statements. Company h&s policy, insurance 5 million minimum. All staff must be paye, Full PPE,s etc.

If your set up for this good or offer to other company for a price, ie first clean.

Hope this helps.

;D I do get the odd mood swing!!, thanks for the replies though guys. I just wanted to see how far / near i was in my pricing! didn't want to waste anyones time too much.
To be completly honest i already do the job, and have been so for the last two years, just for those of you though with pricing up problems i would say Gary is spot on with the price i charge £550. You have to dot the "i"s and cross the "t"s with these people!and they can be a total pain in the @rse, window sills full of paperwork etc. It takes 2 of us, 1 out, 1 in, 5-6 hrs to do it flat out. Payment terms 30 days. No probs with ££ as government.

Twas interesting to see that my pricing is ok! no need for an increase yet!!

Good contract at that price, some don,t understand the complexities of this kind of work.
