Losing pressure ?
« on: March 08, 2007, 04:20:00 pm »
Hi All,

My system is 9 weeks old I have a 100 psi shureflow with 100m of microbore. Today I have started to lose pressure, water is still coming out of the brush but it's weaker than it was. When Ii close the the tap on my belt and open it again the pressure is strong but dies again after a few seconds. Any ideas ??
I dont have a varistream just pump. I have tested my battery and that is fully charged .Hope someone can help.

Thanks Jason.

It might be worth checking the filter attached to your pump.
I had the same problem with the water just trickling out of brush but the filter that is screwed on the pump was  completely blocked. I took if off and cleaned it out and it has been OK since.

Hope this helps,

Andrew...

I remember having the same problem, you need a flojet pump as the sureflow has pressure issues, especially with micro bore, to test this theory connect your pump to some garden hose, if it works its the micro bore set up!

I changed over to flo-jet and never had a problem since.

If yours is the same as mine there is a filter/strainer on the inlet side which you can screw off and then take apart and clean the metal strainer inside which collects dirt and muck.Mine was full of muck when I took mine apart and sorted the problem.

Cheers,

Hi All,

I will have a play in the morning. At the moment I'm on my 2nd clean with wfp on my round and 400 ltr is lasting between 4 and 5 hours. If I bought a varistream would it make 400 ltr last all day and still be ok for 1st cleans ( I read on here the first 3 cleans are a nightmare on wfp)?

Thanks for your help, great site.

ps. if Norris fancys a trip to the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, send him to me and i will show him the sights.

Cheers, Jason
