Hi all

I am getting a decent quality website written and will have it done by next week. I am then thinking of going on yell.com. They do a pay as you go deal where you pay £2 a day to have your number and website listed. Just wondering what the response is like and if its worth trying for a few months to see. Anyone do this? Worth it?

Cheers

You can register for free on yell.com however the enhanced listings will cost you extra, i just went on yell and its so far produced 2 decent leads, compared to none from the directory so for.

Did you pay for the listing or is it a freebie and how long since registering did it take you to get your two leads?

I used a mobile mechanic the other day to repair the sump on my van and he ended up doing about £400 of work for me. My mate recomended him, he found him on Yell.com my mate has so far spent £1500.00 with him.

I off the cufff said to him do you get much work from yell, 'no' he says '£300 spent with them this year and nothing'.

Made me think though, I get calls from my website, but never ask how they found my website?

Hi Guys,

Prodry I saw you in Billericay the other day !

I ask where all my work comes from and found yell quite good for the first 18 months , then they introduced sponsored listing and it wasn't worth it after that so I came out.

Cheers
