Good Morning, All
We are a family who own a block of flats (and we live in one of them as well). We use prof carpet cleaners of course when tenants turn-over, but this time I am really puzzled cause they weren't able to get a certain stain out.
I am sure now it's that vivid blue/green Miracle Gro plant food...a full concentrate spill. Like the tenant mixed a concentrated batch and spilled a couple of ounces. Carpet cleaner just couldn't get it all out. The size of the stain was only about 5 cms, but it seems so deep. If using a foam, we just get masses of bright green foam and even scraping it, it just keeps coming and coming like a geyser!

Our carpet is glued to the fire proof/noise system. It's a hotel grade short pile. Any ideas? If this is not going to come out, is it better to cut out and make a patch?
Sad to say, we already had to cut out a huge part in front of the basin and replace with laminated floor type vinyl as the tenant had used THIN BLEACH to get something else out and the carpet which is fawn has gone pink. I wonder if the stain mentioned was the same thing...don't know. They were corporate tenants (ugh). They are the worst as it's not their own home and can be very careless.
Further.... there are crusty black bits like freckles on the surface not far from all of this other damage. The carpet cleaner thought it was burn marks. From what? A sputtering candle would be wax wouldn't it? What would flying sparks come from...a sparkler? These are non-smoking flats and some tenants try to smoke sitting in the windows, but in this case I know they didn't smoke.
If pics will help, I can try to put them in later.
Apologies for the barging in rant.... but it's very hard to find a new carpet cleaner in this area for a small job like that. We kept back £100 of the deposit to do the horrible state of the oven and the the cutting out of the carpet and replacing with the laminated flooring by the basin. I didn't see the green stain or the burn freckles, so am stuck now.

Thanks for any ideas...any at all!

Lauren
