Ian your prices must be incredibly high ;)

pay for downstairs, get upstairs free

or pay full price and get your new house free

pay for one room get a second room free

out of interest, if I want my 18ftx14ft living room cleaned ( the room is empty, no stains, 80/20, with easy access) how much would it cost me? and I'd like my 14ftx14ft dining room cleaned for free. No need for protector as its had Solugard applied so should be good for another 29 cleans.

Mike

ps I thinks its a good leaflet with lots of interesting ideas.

What prices do you charge as your offers do sound a bit unbelievable.  Free second room and free protector.  Where do you make the money?

I did try something one time with poor responce.  I think people know their house will sell regardless of the carpets at least over here anything sells.  The market is for those moving into the house.

What sort of responce do you get from these pink type flyers?

Guys

£50 per hour. solution stain protector works out really cheap and i use at cost. I think that if custoners want a high servivce this should be part of it and not an extra. it benifts me as if i get repeat

The offer on upstairs is highlight cleaning. if there is no furniture fine.

responce with the pink flyier is always good. as i said in my blog thinking about the other leaflets that will be dropped in my free newspaper and market match has an effect. have differant pink leaflets with differant messages covers the needs of many groups.

Whats that per square foot.

I bought some Solutions Protector once and although it good I did not think it was cheap.

I think you have too many offers and it just confuses the public and whoever is giving the quote.

Personally I do not like this you got to do it now for this price if not it will be that price.

I have now spent 16 years in Direct Sales and in my experience most genuine people like straight talking.

Unbelievable offers to get you in door just cause ill feeling.

So if you advertise room for £15 that's what you should get.

Although Pink Fl yer is not bait and switch I cannot say it is straight honest pricing which is transparent to customer.

Ian from reading all your posts i think you should put down the cookbook and get in the kitchen and start cooking :D :D

you can read the Karma Sutra, the Joys of sex & confessions or a window cleaner but in the end you have to get your hands on a woman :D :D

do you actually clean any carpets or just play with your blog ;)

you are the first one to get it, thank you.

it direct response and Joe polish that gave me the time to choose what to do with my time. remember i first used this stuff to build my maid service. so it was adapted from carpet cleaning to build my maids service. so it works for any business

I have spent so much time and money studying this stuff and have produced loads. what the point of it on my drive, when it might help someone.

the update i did today was only 15 minutes out of my day. the great thing about the blog is that it stays there and when new people start up they will have a place to go and get information.

Ian,
I personally think there may be limited value in the material your churning out and yes it is interesting.

Whether customers really want to read that much, i'm really doubtful, but one thing I would say is,  at least invest in a spell checker and check also the grammar.

I stopped reading because the spelling was hideous in places and some of it just didn't flow.  -  I'm sure the customers would do the same.

Making mistakes like that undoes all the good you're trying to do in the first place as it takes away your credibility.

Just an observation! :)

steve

I appreciate that the odd spelling mistake can make clients call you to tell you but if you do too many they think you are stupid, I personally would put a mistake near the front in the hope that they will call you anyway.

BUT I can't get Ian's files to open so the above is MY OPINION only.

As for Ian and his blog and carpet cleaning, well he's getting on with it so get over it MINGERS! WOTEVER!

I was one of Ian's biggest critics when he was posting last year, and at times he did get on my nerves.

BUT.......

Got to say, Thanks Ian, some of the information you post is helpful, and believe it or not, I actually look out for your posts now.

To the people who complain about the spelling and content, just take it as a guide and a starting point, there are some good ideas in there which can be played about with, mixed and matched, reworded etc.

I read Ian's posts now as someone who is genuinly trying to help and giving ideas and systems away that some people have paid thousands for. Some I think are rubbish, some are very good, and so far it's all been freeeeeee. A lot of what he has written I already have and have forgotten about and if nothing else gets me interested in marketing again.

So from one wind bag to another..........Thanks again Ian.

guys

thanks for your comments

a lot of what i put up i can a bit so it not a direct copy of what i am using. and before i print it goes to my friend to check. even so sometimes things slip though. i will get all stuff checked before posting, but thank you for pointing it out.

on this point, it has a positive side and that you don't have be be well educated to learn to use this stuff. most of what English i use today has been learnt and helped by computers since i left school. as i missed most infants school because off illness.

if you are having problems opening files let me know and I'll try my best to help. just email me.

BTW a great way to update your programs is by buying the last version that came out as most people upgrade they sell off old copies on ebay. programs that would cost hundreds can be picked up for just pounds. by keep one step behind you keep costs down and if their are any bugs with the new program you avoid them.

thank you

Ian h ,

What version of publisher are you using as I have same problem as Gary.

Now to check on your latest offering

At least everyone knows what a Pink Flyer is now and what sort of content to put into a Newsletter.

Question for Ian H  Where do you get your A3 Pink Flyer printed

If you do it yourself have you sourced supplier of Pink or coloured A3 paper below £8 a ream  =  £16 a thousand

I like the idea of A3  but find but the time you have acquired paper, Ink plus servicing cost of high speed copy  printer, then paid for distribution, the costings do not work out.  Also I find more and more companies are using A3

Hi Ian

Viking for paper.

I have a photocopier that prints a3 both sides. bit slow, going to get a riso machine secondhand to see how i get on with it. should then be able to do loads more. use my local printer as well to do 10,000 and 20,000 runs

A really good printer like a riso can put you in a different world. be able to print in large numbers and say so much. its the old the more you say the more you sell.

i do use other formats like cards and a4. my 1/3 a4 coupon cards are doing well.

my big plan is to have loads of different format going out in different ways. we all know that leaflets are great so why just stick to one format with one way to drop them?

when i have use royal mail they work better in villages than towns. I think this was down to the postmen. you can imagine how big a post bag a town post man must have compared to the village guy that uses his van.

with regards to your comment

"I like the idea of A3  but find but the time you have acquired paper, Ink plus servicing cost of high speed copy  printer, then paid for distribution, the costings do not work out.  Also I find more and more companies are using A3"

its down to offer, headline, copy. just a mater of changing to get the numbers to work. testing until they do. i have made money from a3 pink leaflet dropped by royal mail at £40 per 1,000 it all about numbers
