All I can say to you is look around and you will find lots, some full of info others just telling you what their names is and what services they offer.

Hi Don

One that works, and the judge should as with all marketing be the customer.

I have just changed my main site to one that looks like a sales letter. the reason is that you guide the prospect though your message to the sale. sites where you let them aimlessly click around can make them lose interest and their way.

I have about 15 sites at the moment and will be over time changing them all to this format. The idea of some many sites is as my friend Chris says "all roads lead to Rome"

good luck

When you say the customer will be the judge of a good site how can you judge this. The customers that respond to your page obviously like your site but what about the ones who don't. How do you know why they are not responding  ??

Hi Don

your should always ask at the quote where the prospect got your details. or for about five pounds a month you can get a 0800 number for each idea that you want to test or track. that will tell you what calls you have had

there are things like offer, headline, copy etc this is all down to testing. i would test a headline, copy and offer on small leaflet drop and if it works then you know that it will work with other media.

this is also a great way to test a yellow page advert, as you only can change it every 12 mts. they say that 3k is a good test number to find out if something works.

what you have to remember is that any prospect is only interested in whats in it for them. like us all. so when writing an advert keep this in mind.

if you search on the net you`ll be able to get a program that will show you the full stats of visits to your site,
how long they spent on each page,
what page they left,
what keywords they used to find you
or what link sent them,
what search engine they use,
what browser they use,
what operating system they use,
where they are from,
their ip address
and a load more.............................................if you host your site with fasthosts you get  this free with your hosting ;D

guys

if you don't know or like the programing side of your website why not use a blog? its easy and you can update as often as you like with offers, events, and ideas, new services, or promoting of old services.
