Hi Jason.
Welcome to the world of carpet cleaning.
If your tight for cash, the big brush from any supplier and lots of effort for agitating the prespray.
If you have cash perhaps the envirodry.
http://www.cleansmartsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/Envirodry_Envirodri.html

I still use the dreaded brush more than I care to, sometimes its not worth the hassle of setting up the envirodry
but when it is, I'm happy with it.

Hope you have money behind you, cos if you don't , you will have to make it up with motivation.
If you have money and motivation then your laughing.
Good Luck, unless you live in Edinburgh.

Hi Rab

It's just pure lazyness on your part in not getting out the Envrodry to agitate..  ;)  I have an old Host machine I use and used to be tempted to leave it on the van at times.

However I always saw sense and relented and it saves so much time and effort it is always worth while putting in that mechanical agitation stage.

:o You and I are heading for a fall out Derek  ;D
I am quite lazy, thats why I got into carpet cleaning. Nice easy life.
When your working on your own, I don't feel it is always worth it.
All the best.

That's sounds right Steve, not that I've tried one, but I would imagine so.
Middle ground.
Something else to buy, it never end. :'(

The Sebo DUO looks pretty much like the industry standard for power agitation.  The Envirodri or even HOST obviously seems better, probably in view of its weight, but in any case I expect the manufacturer markets these exclusively as a dry clean machine.  Me, well I'll stick to the push bike (the agitation brush), since not only is it a lot cheaper, but you control the effort to avoid any hazards (loop pile ?).

You could get a scrubba.
Use it with the carpet machine switched off for aggitation,.. then hook it up to the Vac/solution hoses for cleaning 10X quicker than a wand. Als great for heavy soil in pub/club carpets.
