I had one as a company van for the firm i used to work for, it was a 2.0(i think)(cant remember) turbo diesel
and I thrashed the dogs wotsits out of it, the only time it let me down was when i hit a humped back bridge going a little too fast(75mph) and destroyed the rear shocks,
but to be fair the van was fully loaded with bags of plaster..................

you also get a really big blind spot caused by the windscreen pillar on the drivers side.

look for one with a sliding side door, well handy ;D

theres loads of BT ones on the road aswell so thats good if you need replacement mirrors or you lose an ariel or something like that.

from what i can remember it wasn`t to good on fuel, but don`t hold me to that cause I had a diesel card so that may just have been what I was telling me boss.

If you get a red one you`ll look like postman pat ;D

What a review I should be on topgear or something  8)

The Transit Connect is pitched at the market dominated by The Citroen Dispatch/Peugot Expert/Fiat Scudo family of vans. From memory, even the long wheelbase Connect was smaller than the Citroen. I believe that the Connect is built in Turkey. The Citroen family is built in Spain.

The Connect has lots of different door options. The Citroen comes as standard with two sliding doors and twin rear doors.

I have the Citroen which is four years old next week and is proving to be ideal for me. My only criticism is the wear rate on the front discs (20ish K).  I think later models have gone over to vented discs which are, hopefully, better.

The Citroen/Peugot/Fiat family have just been replaced with a new van. First impressions are very smart, slightly larger but price a bit higher than a similar spec Transit/Vivaro type van.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

So far mine has been okay, I purchased from my brother in law for £2000, had 81,000 on clock. Very good condition, just the right size for all my equipment etc.  Have nothing else to compare it to though as it is my first van, only had for 3 months. I know all the while my brother in law had it, he never once had any problems.  See how it goes I guess, hopefully be reliable.
