Hi to all,

As promised I have posted the link to a video of the Super-Lite in use.

For reference purposes;

The Pole is an SL-40 (40ft) it is a year old and I have used it regularly during  the last year.

The building I am using it on is 4 stories high and the top of the highest window is 43ft from the ground.

The video has been shot to demonstrate the rigidity and ease of use not to provide a guide to pole usage (hence single handed use!)

Is it possible to video the man as he lifts and drops the pole, that way you should show what sort of strain he has or doesnt have.

looks good.  No bend or strain in the pole as it is being lifted or lowered.

I was just thinking the same, I bet he looks like he's squeezing one out. 

Having said that looks like a nice piece of kit, although on a minor note I really hate to see hosing up the outside of the pole.

We shot this purely to show the lack of flex on the pole. I can always shoot another video showing the person lifting it.  We did not have enough space to get back far enough to show both the pole being lifted and the person (40ft is quite a long pole!).

I assure you that you would have seen no strain from me at all, I just stood there and put the pole upright using only my arms. I will of course do another video to show this.

Of course I could just be an ex-Mr Universe.

I can assure you that Alex would have felt very little strain in his arms/back lifting the pole for a number of reasons:

The pole is so light
Very little flex = less strain (by the way I'm well impressed with the lack of bend - nice)
Alex is an ex pro arm wrestler
Alex is an ex Mr Universe
Alex feels no pain

My dad came down for lunch today so I showed him the pole fully extended, the old man is now 79 years old and he was able to hold it horizontal...mind you, I had to greab the pole once he got it vertical though! he was off on an uncontrolled backward walk! lol (this was in the garden by the way, so no buuilding for him to rest & balance the pole against)

Hello Everyone,

We will not be having a stall at the NEC, for one simple reason, we are too busy!

The whole point of 'showing' at these events (which would be great fun) is to drum up more business and improve market penetration. We are quite happy with our market share and have a very healthy order book, particularly with products like the Super-Lite.

We supply the pole in sizes up to 60ft.

"Is it suitable for domestic work?"
Many would say so, but I personally only use it where needed. My set up for domestic work (of which I still do about 4 hours a week) is a 12ft Extender with G-fit neck and Super-Lite brush (this does about 85%) an 18ft Extender with G-fit neck and SL Brush (this does about 10%) and then my Super-Lites for the odd 5%.

Having said that, one of the guys that works for us now only uses his Super-Lite for his domestic work, he just keeps a 12ft Universal pole for the odd thing.

On the strain issue, I did use a 45ft C/F Universal and a 31ft G/F Universal as my main poles for the previous 4 years so these SL's are just so easy!

It is good to hear that you have a full order book and you don't need to promote you company profile.

But what about the many thousands of cleaners who attend these shows looking for different suppliers, the ones who have never heard about you, so they don't know about the super lite pole you have.

What happens when your order book starts to slow down and this book start to have empty pages will you then attend trade shows? or will you be to late and these cleaners have gone somewhere else.

I think that it is very important that there are more and more suppliers in this industry.  If not then the few who only go to shows will have a monopoly on the industry which will not be healthy in the long run.

There is only a finite amount of time with the firm and with my life.

Gardiner Pole Systems has a rapidly expanding customer base who we are happy to support with our products and advice.

No one firm can be everything or be everywhere, hence there will always be a choice for the discerning user. Since we started in the supply business the average price of fibre glass poles have come down in real terms by about 25%.  We feel that this has been of benefit to all users.

Hi Alex,

Great video, the pole looks really rigid.  If you get round to doing another video could you show the whole job.  I.e. putting the pole together then cleaning the windows then adding/removing sections to clean the next lot and so on.

At the moment I use an Ionic Ergo Lite and I'm thinking about buying a new pole soon.  Ionic have told me that they will be releasing a new more rigid ergo lite pole soon.  But, I don't know if it will be as light and rigid as this super-lite.  The deciding factor for me would be the total package. which one is easier to set up, extend/shorten and put away.

I know Ionic will be demonstrating their new pole at the cleaning show but I don't want to make my decision until I've seen everything there is to see of the super lite.
