How much would you guys charge in total for 2 guys to window clean for one whole day 8am - 5pm at one big house. Tradiotional. Ground level and first floor level only. This is based on you doing the work, not an employee.

What would your total charge be  for this ??

I,m glad you can all earn this on your rounds every day, £750.00 a week  there must be alot of rich window cleaners or alot of bullsh#t going around ! and i suspect its the later

Ronaldo - where are you based and do you work on your own.
Window cleaning is not an easy profession having to work in all weathers and up and down ladders, to not be earning good money.
You are either pricing too low or having too many cups of tea.
I would be well pi**ed if i did not earn that daily.
This is what this forum is for to try and help each other.
Give us a rundown of what you do and I am sure you will get some good advice to get your earnings up.

  I'd say £300 is a good start.  If it's a big house then they are business people and will try to squeeze you were they can.
  As an example, I do a house with my wife in Maldon Essex for £320 every 8 weeks it takes from 7am till 1pm.  I had to miss out 7 windows on the inside of the swimming pool this time as of building work and then received a fax asking me to drop the price by 10% thats £32 for just 7 windows.  I'm still waiting payment.  £300 is probably the minimum when things like that can happen.  Remember some of these people spend more on a pair of shoes than you'll be earning on the job that day.  That's what gets me.

The most important issue is getting the right price for each job because at the end of the day there is only so much work you can do. The trouble is that a lot of window cleaners start their business with low rates and gradually work their way up. The two questions you've got to ask yourself is 'how much am I worth' and 'what price can I charge in my local area'? The best thing is to get too much work and increase your prices until you're left with a smaller, more profitable round.

It's a very big house £2.2 million with a brand new £800,000 swimming pool,gym,cinema room,sauna,jacuzzi,changing room extension. We've done a builder's clean there today, two of us and they have just sacked their  last window cleaner for being 6 weeks late...we quoted £ 270.00... two guys, one whole day..seems a fair price...she was happy and snapped our hands off!!!

I price work now at a minimum of £30 per hour for one person, if there's 2 of us, to get the job maybe £50 per hour for 2.

8am to 5 is 9 hours without a break, so minimum, 9 x £50 = £450


actually, we're off to do a £450 traditional job today. Did it on my own last time in 12 hours, so guessing it'll take 7 hours for 2.

These prices are easily obtainable, you've just got to put in the right price at the start.

I think your price is fair at £270.00, £250 is a reasonable price for 2 window cleaners.

Its good to achieve £300.00 per day but you wont always achieve it.

One thing though i do builders cleans & we charge 4 - 6 times the value for builders cleans, if this is the case was the house smaller or have you worked harder to achieve the final result but got the contract regular which is a wise business move.

hello there...was on the first window at 9.45am approximately and back home at 1.30pm...

I ran out of water because the water board are renewing drains around where I live and I could only get out with 200 litres and not able to refill my tank because water is off at the mains

I think that if you are on an all day job, then a charge of £150 is pretty low, if I work from 8 till 5 I'll do more than that, I'd be pretty disappointed if I didn't top £200.

But if you are charging for 2 employees it becomes a different matter, for one thing you won't be paying them anything like that amount will you?
So £150 per man per day is I think about right, and if you are employing guys then they will need to be turning that over to cover all your costs, you've got to make money on them too of course...

As for individuals knocking out £750 per week, well, many on here will do that and above, but maybe not every week, those that do so are doing very well indeed.

But if you are going to charge for a full days work, then £150 is more than reasonable...even if you don't do it every day.

I've been hit with a wave of laziness today, finished at 2.30pm and have done £135, previous 2 days was somewhat above that figure (I'm not saying what though), and if the weather doesn't bugger me about it'll be above it tomorrow too...it could also be Friday if I wanted it to be, but I might want to surf another lazy wave
