ANYONE KNOW HOW TO PREVENT HOSE REELS FROM DRIPPING AT THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE SUPPLY HOSE AND THE REEL?  I'VE GOT TWO HOZELOCK REELS MOUNTED IN THE VAN THEY CONSTANTLY DRIP WATER FROM THIS JOIN WHEN IN USE. ANYONE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS?

The rubber "O" ring can easily be replaced which will stop the dripping. It needs periodical replacement.

Have tried changing the o-ring but no joy. Was thinking of using brass fittings as they seem to be closer fitting and have less play, but can't find a brass fitting that would replace the plastic grey inlet one on the hose reel.

B&Q do the brass hosestop connector and the bit that goes on the inlet feed to the hose reel. They do need changing from time to time.

Also - to cure the symptom of the drips from the joint - make sure the hose goes in on as straight an angle as you can and I use an aerosol can lid or camping beaker with two holes drilled through it and some wire for a little handle that makes a little cup to catch the drips. It hangs underneath the joint assembly.

Every so often you unhook the "cup" and empty it.

My male connector from the hosereel just wore out today, everytime I unreeled some hose the connector popped off  as well as leaking ever since I got it a few months ago it's just a screw on so should be easily replaceable.

Screwfix or Tool station are much cheaper for the brass connectors than B&Q if you have any of them near you?
If not just google there sites.
