Whiffy caravan seats
« on: February 19, 2007, 04:22:14 pm »
Went to look at some caravan seats, covers cant be removed and are foam filled.  They had a Dog that had left them stinky..  Whats the best way to get this out, just thinking the pong may be deep in the foam?

Their are various products around, but 'Solubac' is one example. Available from solution-uk.com. An Enzyme product that works on the malodour bacteria that can cause the 'whiff'.

The material could probably benefit from a clean at the same time.

Nemesis Odour Neutraliser

This product eliminates malodours and noxious gases caused by bacteria, mercaptans, amines, sulphides, acids etc. The biocide components effectively penetrate the protective shells of bacteria and destroy them on contact. This component also retards the regrowth of surface bacteria. This product presents no health risks to either humans or animals.

Directions: Dilute 10:1

Can be sprayed or wet fogged. For urine, vomit, faeces, etc it is preferable to extract as much of the contaminant as possible before soaking the area with Odour Neutraliser. Carpets require all surfaces to be treated, including the backing and underlay.

Spraying after extraction cleaning leaves a fresh pleasant aroma

It may pay to spray with nemesis odour control and leave in a black bag overnight

Solubac is not an enzyme, it is a bactrial deodouiser and in my opinion is ok ish.The Prochem Odour neuts and bactrial deodoriser I find are better.

Hi Paul,

Just to say that Solubac is described as ' a Bio-enzymic Odour Digester' on Solutions website. So that probably makes us both right  ;)

Only purhased recently, but came highly reccomended
