Dave, there are two links, one is a pdf which should open automatically using Acrobat ( if it's not on your system you can download it for free), the other link is a Publisher file which you can't open unless you have Publisher.

The pdf version you won't be able to edit as it is read only.

Ian,

Over time, how has your response averaged out per 1000. I currently do A5 and wonder if it's worth the extra expense.

Cheers

guys

fast track don't own "direct response marketing"

Jim wolverton a carpet cleaner in the USA wrote the pink leaflet just like the USP

We Promise The Most Thorough Carpet or Upholstery Cleaning Ever, or it’s FREE!

its Jim's USP and leaflet not anyone else's.

Just stop and think for a moment when you send your marketing to be checked out for free from Joe or Robert they get to see all the new ideas from the few cleaver cleaners and then they take these ideas and pass them on to everyone in the group. now these cleaners do sometimes get the credit, but I'll bet you all think that Joe polish wrote the pink leaflet. and you would be wrong

Joe told Jim about direct response and Jim went out his way to learn all about it, and them produced this leaflet. Joe would never say its was his but that's not to say he goes out his way to tell people that it was Jim.

you can get the same if not better info from many other sources with respect to direct response.

with regards to response mike its all down to what works my friend. this is the centre of direct response, testing and tracking. do a few in up market homes see what results you get. as far as expense goes we all should know what it cost to get a new client. when you know this number you then "buy" them

if you could go to a shop and buy something and get your money back plus keep going back for more you would shop there all the time. well this is direct response. you get a return on your investment (front end marketing) and then you nurture this relationship going back for more (back end marketing)

everyone focuses on new client new client all the time and forgets the ones that have done before. with all the add ons like tiles, upholstery, etc we can do keep going back.

Ian,

think you got the impression i thought FT own the copy write, i know they don't.

i know all about Joe Polish Marketing.

what im saying is FT sell this marketing, ok they call it business coaching, support over an extending period.

they wont like this stuff being shared or talked about. thats what i mean,

response Mike, you should expect around 1/2% or 2 to 5 calls per thou, not earth shattering.

Hello mate,
I have looked in from time to time but haven't posted in ages. Moved to Southampton for a few months!!
I'll send you an email, still haven't forgotten the stuff I said I'd send and still have them all ;) ;D

It's good to back though and reading through all this stuff again.

All good stuff chaps. At the moment I'm printing off two ads on A4 then chop them in half. One is a control and the other has some change on it. If it's better it becomes the control. This way your different leaflets are totally shuffled.

I have no pictures and the only colour is the offer end date in red. Even tried rubber stamping it and found response go up, but wasn't going to do that for very long, job for the kids. Would put pics and more testimonials on but run out of space!

I find response varies wildly from 1/1000  (if that) to 4/1000 and can't say why.

I understand working out the residual value of a Client, however I need to be around to capitalise on it too.

Ian, what about a more pointed offer end date? Do you not do this cos of large print runs?

Jim Wolverton if he is the originator would be the one entitled to royalties but he gives permission ti use iy to all who have paid for his products such as Marketing Funnel Strategies Manual and Survey Shark.

It does say these rights are not transferable  to anyone else.

Ian has changed the wording on his Flyer but is still using over 20% of the original

The Secret  has been out for years

Alltec gave away Pink Flyers at Docklands. Martin and Milton Keynes and no doubt some of you have acquired then from elsewhere

So I doubt if a court case would stand up.

I stilll have a letter in my file from Kara at Alltec warning about Allegedly offering Alltec information on Cleantalk in 2001 and the penalties involved.

my point is not attacking Robert its to tell people that you don't have to be on fast track to benefit from direct response.

because copy that uses direct response is looked at as Joe polish stuff i am trying to change this. we all have great ideas and i want to show people how the Joe polish model works.

place yourself at the centre of a group of business people all with unique ideas and one by one go though each ones ideas and pass this information on to the group and all benefit. charge fro this service and you make money.

in fact one thing that Joe has said and that give it away for free and it has no value. this is true. but if you try and make them understand its value and this has to be a good thing.

I remember how hard it was and still is trying to find what works. its funny how when you pay big money how you don't question what is being sold to you. why can we do this when we see something working and its free.

the basis of all business is to do what works. this is the Joe polish model

i don't have any hidden agenda, just want cleaners to use copy more so that prospect value our services more, i have for years had customers and prospects disrespect me and what my staff provide.

if the message is basic then prospect will just judge us on price and that is a one way street. we all have unique businesses but most fail to promote our communicate this to prospects.

most franchise use a message that's positions themselves apart from others cleaners. giving a reason to buy from them.

if your interested i have written a a3 leaflet that deals with cheap carpet cleaners. to show what can be done with long copy. so if you have a problem in your area then this might be of interest.

Almost all marketing ideas, have been around for many, many years and Jim Wolverton 's contribution is no different, from any other..............it was conceived from something he'd seen before and adapted.
I remember an even bigger sheet put out by a Londoner about 25 - 30 years ago aimed at mail order  customers.

If you read, or listen to J P's material, you will find references to Real Estators..............Double Glazing Companies, etc...................

Most advertising / marketing ideas are plageurised, deliberately, or inadvertently, just as products are copied by big industry, or large retailers.....................

To gain the maximum advantage, just ride the wave and look out for the next one coming along !
