I'm in the USA and I find that this forum is MUCH more informative and entertaining than any USA forum I have been able to find.  Alot less fighting and bickering on here thats for sure!  You guys seem to have alot more respect for each other too.

The market here in the USA is quite different of course, but still I would like to know about the different denominations of money you guys talk about in your posts.

For example, 20 Pounds is approximately $39 US dollars (I think).  But what is a quid?  ... oops, nevermind.  I just googled it.  A quid is slang for pound.  Got it.  Thanks anyway.

Welcome to the forum, Glassjockey.

We've a few of 'you lot' here, just like we had during WWII; nicking our women and stuff, but we don't hold that against you, even though it's been just this year that we've paid our 'debt to America', for all the stuff you lent us from the Second World War.

We're not cross at all about it; so don't worry!

Anyway, as I say, welcome to the forum, mate! ;D

Texas Girl is my favourate US window cleaner mind; hopefully someone can provide a link to her calandar; I'm sure you'll like her too.

Also, tell us a bit about yourself and your business.

Regards,

Tosh.

The topics that Americans have started have been very good. It normally turns out we are talking about completely different subjects. We had a marketing expert on here very recently, but over here we call it shopping.

Tosh, I am a newbie window cleaner for sure.
My business is in automotive windshield repair.  I have actually been looking into window cleaning for years but never actually got into it officially yet.

I have my Trad cleaning equipment and have been cleaning the windows on my own home inside and out for a long time now and am getting ready to offer window cleaning as an add-on service to my windshield repair business.

I'm the type of guy that loves the work, but sales is not my strong suit.  I figure between the two glass related businesses (automotive windshield repair and residential window cleaning) I should not have too much trouble going full-time when the time is right for me to take that leap of faith that so many of you already have.

Iv'e been reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki  and I have to say, its getting me in the right financial mindset.  I love this book!

... Nice calendar!  ;D  I think there is a saying they have here about Texas... "everything's bigger in texas"  (something like that).
