New Zealand Wool Rug
« on: February 16, 2007, 01:56:58 pm »
Hi Guys,

I've just picked up a New Zealand Wool rug, which to be honest looks pretty much like any other 100% wool deep pile rug. My reason for concern is that as I loaded it into my van the lady said please take care of it, it cost £3000 in HARRODS! Does anyone no of any reason not to clean this. I await soe useful tips.

Cheers

No reason why you cant clean it as normal following all testing procedures.

If she had bought it any where else it would have been much cheaper. ;)

Test and pile brush at end as others say. No big worry really other than usual obvious ones. Is £3k really that much for 100% wool rug anyway? From Harrods I would say that is cheap. You could probably buy the same thing from a herder in the mountains of Marrakesh for £50 (although I accept the dyes might be a tad unstabable).

Many thanks all, as I thought.

Cheers
