Company called CIS?
« on: February 13, 2007, 03:45:50 pm »
Have been contacted today by a firm called CIS, anyone heard of them or had dealings with them?

They provide leads to possible contracts for builders cleans etc,for a 'small' fee.

We are not interested,( sounds like Global!!), but if they are kosher, might suit a newish firm ?

Blimey, I can give anyone leads for a small fee, whether there is work at the end of the lead is entirley up to the individual company that bought the lead and how well they present themselves or how good their tender is.

Not sure if it is just 'leads' they supply or jobs they have already priced. Like I said, sounds a bit like the deal offered in the past by 'Global'

We subscribe to their servive. Basically they collect information from local planning offices in your area and organise them into industrial, commercial and domestic sections.

You then have the relevant contact information for each developer/new building, possibly before a lot of other people hear about it.

Cost us around £500, I think I have only opened one (they send you one each month) I will not be renewing my subscription.

Cheers,

Huw.

They sound like a copy of Glenigan (used to be the market leaders, maybe still are).

Not sure of their relevance for anything other than the 'big boys' to be honest.

I should know . .. I used to work for them.  ;D

They called me today, I said no.

I am meeting someone next week cant remember where from, but they supply the same sort of service but they take a percentage of the price of the job once the job has been completed and payed for, I thought it sounds a bit of a no lose situation as I would be paying one of my own salesman commission anyway, i`ll just be paying the commission to someone else instead.

I`ll post on here once I have met them and I know all the details ;D
