Training courses
« on: February 12, 2007, 12:24:45 am »
I am based in the Midlands and would like to know if anyone knows of a company who offer the IICRC courses round my way.

Have searched on google but the ones I have found are either in the south or have out of date websites.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Andy

Hi Andy

Define "round my way"  The Midlands covers quite a few acres, so how far are you prepared to travel?

Safe and happy cleaning:)

Hi Ken

True enough.
I am happy to travel about an hour or an hour and a half from Stafford which is where I am based.
I guess... Leicester  to Shrewsbury (East/West) and Manchester to Worcester (North/South).

Hope this helps

A quick Google has revealed these.  I'm not aware of any others at present.

Did you specifically want IICRC? I ask because you have the NCCA 2 day carpet and upholstery courses in Leicester, and Prochem Europe take their training out and about a couple of times a year. You could ask this sites sponsors about the ones that come to the West Midlands or contact Prochem Europe direct.

Joining the NCCA is definately something I want to do, but I gather that the IICRC courses automatically qualify you to join the NCCA and they have international recognition.

Am I doing the right thing by going this route or do you think I should just do the NCCA courses?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

The IICRC courses are superb. If, however, you have not attended a training course before, you may, IMO, find it a bit intense. It's the two day carpet and two day upholstery course that will qualify you for NCCA (you need to pass the exams)

The NCCA I feel is a good option for the less experienced. It's a two day combined Carpet and Upholstery course which means that there is less time spent away from your business. The courses are held in Leicester. Again you require to pass the test paper. For dates, visit www.ncca.co.uk

The Prochem Europe training is not too dissimilar to that of the NCCA. However, this course does not qualify you to apply for NCCA Membership.

There are many more excellent training courses available around the country, but neither do these qualify you for NCCA Membership.

Safe and happy cleaning :)
