Do any of you commercial pro,s do these.

I have a commercial job i do with these frames, what a pain in the butt they are, nearly always get runs & brush marks from the sides of the windows.

I always try to be surgical rinsing trying to keep the water just to the edge of the glass, going from top to bottom both sides of the frame.

Do any of you clean the frames on these ?

I try to keep off the frames as the brush seems to pick up something and smear it onto the window.

Any help would be appreciated

Removed now before the mods did, I dont do commercial but wfp on oxidised powder frames is difficult all I can say Is what I have done on residential and thats rinse frames untill they run clear then do the window.

I do just as Chris posted.

Good scrub & rinse on the frames till they run clear.

Worked for me everytime.

First time off they are a real pain, but you just have to scrub and scrub hard on the frames, just keep washing the frames until they are running clear, as has already been said.

Do a few windows in this manner and then go back after gravity have done it's job and drawn the water down.
Clean and rinse the glass to finish.

On future cleans I've found I can usually get away with a quuick once over of the frames before spending a little more time on the glass than normal.
There still won't be any guarantees though, but you can usually do a decent job.

Thanks Ian for your reply, just one question do you not find the brush picks up something of the frames.

If i touch the frames with the brush it seems to pick up some sort of contaminant from the frames. Are you saying that once all this is removed i will get a much better result.

I'm happy to say that I've never had to clean this type of window, but can recognise and steer clear. Just in case, what's the best type of brush to use on these frames - a nice soft and fluffy double-trim, or something vicious like a Vikan single filament?
