could any body help advise as don`t know much about microsplitters are there any different from normal chemicals like the ashbys,prochem ranges which i use with very good results sorry if this has been asked before as quite new here

I have been using microsplitters since January and i am still regularly astonished at the results
Basically they have meant that i apply less prespray, I do less agitation now as i use a Sebo Duo and i have less to rinse. Basically the job and drying times are quicker
I still have 'traditional' chemicals in the van but only use my Solutions now.

I’m a bit later than Chris in using this product, I think it the bees knees, the standard product is no longer on my van but I still keep the spot & stain removers like rust remover, red rx and pog.

Contact the ones mentioned by Chris and ask for a demo bottle follow the instruction in usage. I think you will be surprised!

hi guys

         just looked at the amtech site, one step £88+vat for 4x5lts. what is the dilution for this product? how does it compare with other products on cost.  do i understand correctly that you prespray the whole carpet, brush in then rinse just with hot water?  i also notice that they do a woolsafe product, does this mean onestep is not suitable on wool? how does it perform on upholstery? do you use the same method for upholstery as carpets( spray, agitate then water rinse)?

does anybody have a bad word to say about one step?

Shaun, I honestly cannot say anything bad about micro splitters. Great results if used correctly, agitation is important and good results on upholstery too. Of course always pre test. I too have a stock of conventional chemicals which I do'nt know if I will ever use.

I too use Micro-splitting chemicals most of the time...

Woolsafe products have to be pitched at a certain level pH wise therefore some manufacturers have a Woolsafe range in order to conform... Other cleaners prefer to use higher pH chemicals (non-Woolsafe) on, say, commercial work or heavily soiled areas where they feel the need for that extra 'bite'
There have been many posts on this subject in the past but whatever chemical is used the key is... DO read the labels and make sure you play safe!

To answer the price question on Solution No2 carpet cleaner 20litres 4x5 litre £52.86 2x 10 litre £47.99 both plus vat dilution is typically 1-18 and three key words LESS IS BEST!.   Solution chemicals cover a wide range of uses including ceiling and wall cleaning, safety floor cleaning to name but a few, Solution no4 is approved Woolsafe, it was the first micro splitter to be woolsafe approved.

Has anyone had good results for 80/20 wool mix carpet with old cat sick. Will it get rid of the stain and stop it coming back through.

The ingredients of vomit can vary considerably, but will always contain hydrochloric acid, which in itself can do notable damage to wool fibre and its dyes.

Other ingredients that can cause problems are bile, dyes from cat food, partially digested sparrow blood and many others.

No one cleaning agent is likely to cope with all of these, so specialised treatments will be required.
