Good time for a price increase
« on: January 30, 2007, 07:54:49 pm »
Been putting up my prices these last two weeks, normaly when i do this i get one or two moaners, but up to now none  ::).

Since the high winds the other week the windows have been  filthy, and i think everyone is so glad just to have them clean again, that no one has mentioned the price rise to me  :).

Anybody else put up prices this week ?

Jeff

Next time round for me.  Give them a little bit of time to recover from Xmas expenses but do it before the new Council Tax bills.

ive been putting my round up since new year.
One pound on most houses. Some i haven't put up, as i ok with the price i clean them for already.

I just say "by the way, next time i come the price will be going up .... only a quid"
I find people dont mind so much if you say it will be going up next time. that way your not surprising them with i higher bill than agreed.

With some houses i have just put the price up on the slip i put through their doors if they're not in. I havent had one complait or cancellation.

I do the same as Leeksons, Been putting most of mine up since the 2nd of January.
I put some up by a couple of quid hoping they would cancel, but they all just smiled and said no problem.

Hi Leeksons, same here, £1 on them all, the only difference the ones i'm happy with i put them up 50p. The 50p adds up very nice over the year  ;D.

Only had 1 cancel but to be honest i wanted her gone, thats why i put hers up 3 quid  ;D result. She will go & ask this trad cleaner & when she hears his price she will come running back, well over the top, so i will add another fiver  :o.

January is the perfect time to increase rates. A great time to re-evaluate the low payers to make room for the more lucrative ones! :o
