Protecting synthetic suede upholstery
« on: January 27, 2007, 04:54:47 pm »
One of my custys has just bought a new synthetic suede or microfiber suedett suite and she has asked me to stainguard it.

Has anyone any experience using solvent stain guard on this type of fabric?

Any advice appreciated

It does not need a stain guard as the synthetic fibre is very resiliant to nearly all  food stains and dirt.

This is what I thought Paul.
I havn't come accross one that has been protected.
This seems to be resiliant to stainig as you say and cleans very easily anyway.

Will call custy and tell her.......thanks!

Water based protector no problem, obviously a solvent protector can make the adhesives used quite unstable. Even synthetics though can still benefit from protection.
