After recent events, on a number of forums, I feel it would be helpful if forum Admin would post a list of words/topics that they deem UNSUITABLE.
This would allow people to speak freely within certain boundaries and allow us the chance of choosing the forums that best suit our style of corresponding.  ;)

Hi Chris,

As I'm not on the CC board all that often I'm not really up to date with the current situation/s - but here's a reminder of what everyone agrees to when registering http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Startingwindowcleaning;action=register

Hope this helps.

You're a Scottish window-cleaner? Licensed or not, get yourself along to www.slwcn.org right now !

Daivie,
Thanks for a peek at the CleanItUp regulations but the wording is not clear enough on certain subjects/words.
Ass to me is not offensive but humouressly rude. Others may be completely spaced out by it, so it should be the Admins duty to lay down guidelines as to words/topics that cannot be used/broached.
We would all know where we stood, from one forum to the next.

Chris

I am not the site Admin. merely a Moderator..

I would find the following unacceptable..

1. Foul language

2. Objectionable explicit material.

3. Personal abuse

I think that's it really.. it is really down to the simple common sense approach.
Friendly banter in good humour I find accepable and can help to build relationships and possibly help us to network with work.
One has to realise that these forums are open to the public at large so nothing should go into print that you wouldn't be happy saying to your mother  ;)  ;D

In essence...good sense and civility should prevail at all times

Derek,
After being abandoned by my mother at the age of 5, then being in childrens homes till the age of 13............. YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT I WOULD SAY IN FRONT OF MY MOTHER >:(

Chris

Point taken...BUT there 'has' to be someone who loves you!

That's the person I was referring to delete 'mother' insert an alternative to suit

Cheers
