Hi all
      I've just been to a local Golf club to quote on cleaning 100 baqueting chairs and don't know how much to charge.
  I was put on the spot as they want them cleaning for the weekend. so I gave them a price and they will get back to me in the morning.
   I just wanted to know how much other cleaners would charge to see how far off the mark I am.
   The chairs are light blue,synthetic/cotton mix and are a mix batch of light and heavy soiled.
  They consist of base seat and pyramid shaped back with material both sides.

Guess what ! I cleaned the same chairs at the same golf club last time ( Wxxston Hall   ) but I couldnt do them for the next three weeks and so they had to look elsewhere . I  charged £1.70 each last time, but it was a pig of a job and took me 4 hours to do 60 chairs
I told them i wouldnt do them for less than £2.20 each this time, and that was ok (if i could have done them  ) I KNOW that they are DESPERATE this time, so know need to be cheap !

I get £5 per chair at a big office up London for a full pre-vac HWE and anti static treatment they have 1000 chairs which i do twice a year so its a nice little earner

I'd go for £3.50 and take a helper to be vacuuming them down and you get a conveyor belt going, you can then put them on their sides and turbo dry them and inspect when dry.

4 hours is a long time to be bending over now your 40.

Thanks  for all your replies I quoted £2 for lightly soiled chairs and £3 for heavey soiled = average £2.50.

As we all have different target hourly rates, it would be more helpful if we were to state how long it takes to clean the average dining chair, seat and back (both sides) - assuming pre vacuuming, wiping down overspray, collecting and redistributing the chairs which presumably would be scattered around a large room.

I based my figure on 8.2 minutes per chair plus a modest nominal sum for setting up and getting out.

Presumably some of the figures quoted above are based on an estimate of less than four minutes per chair.

Hi Guys,

£5 is my minimum charge for lots of office/dining chairs.

On average I would reckon to clean 10 - 12 an hour over a several hour period including a bit of lunch.

This works out £50 - £60 hour for what I class as a highly skilled cleaning job.(obviously more if I get a higher price)
