Hi all, Im based in the north west & iv'e just had a phone call to put in a price to clean some 2 bedroom apartments in between let's and also to clean the communal area's.  As im new to this have not really got any idea's what price to go in at.  my partner & myself will be doing the cleans, i've been told it will be roughly every 2months.Any idea's, Cheers Nat.

Get this right and they will keep you busy with work.

For the communals it will depend on size and what exactly required in there. Charge a little more for the first clean.

For the flats, are they every 2 months as well?

For the first clean charge more to get it up to standard, then it really is going to depend how dirty they get, as some people live cleaner than others. sometimes you'll go in  and it'll take a2-3 hours, sometimes it may take you 12 (yes , some people are really that bad)

I have been doing this work almost exclusively for 3 1/2 years so if you need to know anything more specific please let me know.

Hi martin, thanks for your reply, I went to have a look today, there is a total of 6 communals the 1st property is a small 2 storey building containing 3 apartments, did not go into the apartments as the agent just wants the communals cleaned first, it's a small area & just 1 lot of stairs, he wants the entrance hallway cleaning (ie) skirtings, vacuuming,ledges, the stairs will need vacuuming as well as mopping as they have a rubber trim on the edge of them, the landing window cleaning (inside) & the apartment doors wiping down on the outside.  The other 5 blocks are 3 storey high, same things need doing, also he wants us too change the light bulbs as and when required.  My partner & myself will be doing the cleans twice a month, but with this being our first (letting agent) clean we haven't really got a clue as what price to go in at, we don't want to overcharge as he says he has lots of work for us and also my partner does joinery, plumbing etc & he was very keen on him doing the general maintenance , but we don't want to undercut ourselves either.  If you have any advice Martin this would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks Nat.
