Gaz i know how to change it but what i need to know is whats the highest tds reading you think i can get away with.
I dont mind if i get through 1 or 2 bags of resin a year.

Busy weekend Baz! Looking good, are you happy with the payload? got my 650ltr tank coming tomorrow I'm just a little concerned about the all up weight on a Dispatch 900kg. might need to take two kids to school too! Russ do you dash back to your IBC and submersible when it gets near the top?

Davew yes I do a dash when I am on my own but normally there are two of us so not too much of a problem.I have considered a shut off type float but I have not really got a clue how that works.
Re the weight I also take two kids to school most mornings (4year old/5 year old) so I never fill to the absolute max unless I know I am working alone and not got school runs to do.
I have been reading these posts re waste water and that is something that bugs me big time.I am also on a meter and have a 300gpd ro .I believe for every 1000ltre IBC tank full I am dumping twicw as much in waste so think my water bill will be substantially more.I do not really know how I can make my set up more efficient i.e. boosters,etc any advice??

I started up my IBC yesterday for the first time with a 300 boosted gpd unit just wish the ro water came out as fast as the waste! Luckily I'm not on a meter. I initially felt bad about the waste water. My solution was to drill through my garage wall and into the downpipe outside - now I can't see the waste so I'm less worried about it now ;)

First of all I would like to say well done. You have made a very professional looking job of it ;)

Secondly, I may be wrong but the angle of your pump doesn't look flush?
Try and keep it as straight as you can as you could put strain on the motor brushes which could result in your pump wearing out quicker.

I was told that these pumps will prime up to 3 feet. Maybe try and keep your pump lower down and closer to the outlet.

All i can say its just yellow hose that i got from my local Diy shop and the fittings are hose lock type.
