Hi,
I have been doing wfp for four months now and I think it is the coolest! but some of my windows still have little spots on them. I have never gone on a training course but have listened to diffrent comments on this forum to help me! I must say you guys are fantastic! I dont think I could of ever got this far without you.
But now I would love to know the secrets.
WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY TO WFP?
Your help would be greatly appreciated

its dependent on the type of windows you are cleaning, generally we clean along the top of the pane, then down the sides, back along the top then the rest of the glass.

Thank you,
when do you do the sills, after the glass? and do you do up and down on the glass or side to side or does it not matter?

yes Gaz,
I make sure I do the top of te frame left right left right a few times then I brush down both sides of the frame, I do the cill and then the glass. Just a little worried that I might be picking dirt up off the cill and putting it on the glass. would that cause problems. How long do you spend on the glass? or rinsing?
When I rinse i start at the top and just zig- zag down the pane. is that correct?

What i do is clean the glass and frames then rinse.
Then do the sill last.
That way i know im not picking up dirt and putting it back.
That all gets put on the next window

I do a couple of sweeps top frame, side frames, glass then sill then downward rinse of whole window, I do sill before rinsing,
I can see where Paul is coming from leaving the sill till last but when you move onto next window unless you clean the brush off you'll still be putting dirt on that window from the last sill:-\

John
If there is anything left on the brush it just comes out whilst you are scrubbing the glass and frames of the next window.
We never get a problem this way.

Imagine a big upper "front" window with four upper transom panes and four upright main panes below. (The principle applies to most windows.)
Top frame first - but not into brickwork, vent area.
Side frames next
Transom bars next (ie horizontal frames below top windows)
Mullions next (ie uprights inbetween)
Then transom (upper) windows and rinse them.
Then lower window panes and rinse them.
Then cill with flow on. (If working underneath afterwards fairly quickly then turn flow off and run brush along the cill again a couple of times to reduce dripping time.)
Move to next upper window. Repeat.
