Loads of information from you guys already - thanks. But I have another question: I want to fit an 80ah leisure battery to power a 100psi pump and want a split charge relay but which one? Would I need to upgrade the alternator in a Citroen Dispatch?

I had an auto electrician do mine.
you definately do not need to upgrade alternator
I have 100 amp leisure battery running 2 x 60 psi pumps
no problems at all

hi get an auto electrician to do it. It is not worth the possibity that you may not wire it correctly then your insurance won't pay out if it caused a fire. Worth bairing in mind.!!
