done a whole day yesterday of first cleans, it was a very tireing day, just take your time, scrub the frames and keep rinsing side to side/downwards, i very rarely get a complaint after first cleans now, just take your time and you should be alright.

The only thing that can be annoying is with white UVPC frames if there old, perished and stained then they need restoring, I've had a few complaints sometimes after cleaning these as restoring them is extra £££ and time

when i first got mine it was terrible , i had always used fairy liquid before getting wfp and i think it was this that was causing the problems no matter how much i rinsed it would still dry bad the second clean wasnt much better and i seriously thought of going back to traditional but on the third clean it all came good and has got easier ever since
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

I started off just going round the house giving a good scrub and good rinse on all windows/frames but found results to be a bit hit and miss, now scrub frames then quickly over glass and rinse all round then go all around again just doing the glass, a bit time consuming I know but consistently good 1st clean results, and much quicker 2nd time.

Many of mine didn't work out too well but came good on the second and third visits.
I found first cleans easier once I accepted that the first pass was to do all the frames.  Then start again at the beginning and do glass only.  That's how I do new jobs and price 50% higher to do the first clean (usually).  The problem I had at the start was that I was doing first WFP cleans for existing customers so they were taking ages longer and I couldn't really charge any extra for the first ones.

yes im learning this. It seems that on wooden frames all is good, but upvc is a lottery. Am only doing upstairs so no complaints so far .... touch wood (not upvc)  ::)

Strange you should say that - it's the other way round for me.
It's a game of three halves!

I think you mean the glass in wooden frames. These nearly always sheet perfectly due to being single glazed I think but if the frames are damaged, old, poorly maintained, then these frames can cause runs onto the glass.

With UPVC you sometimes get sheeting glass which is like finding a £10 note in a pair of old jeans! ;D
Sometimes they bead which is a pain. The frames hardly ever give problems unless the black beading has perished or split, then you are GUARANTEED runs down the glass.

i have found that wooden double glazed units can be a pain as well, especially if they hace replaced the glass with putty and poor jobs at that, the units are normally blown, you get a build up of mildew, and the insides of the unit are normally cloudy or dirty as well...real pain.

seans right about the rubber seal on uvpc frames as well, if thats perished or missing then that gives you bad results as well.

I love working on brand new windows or houses, the results are spotless, so sometimes when people complain i point out the fact that the system works fantastic its normally down to the state of the windows themselves when the results are poor
