I know its blowing 70 mph winds out there : but I have to look forwards 

This is my second week wfp and so far all results are good. and the reason for this was preperation work, for the past six months, I read topic after topic, and took note of what was written.

I spent extra time cleaning the tops of the frames changed my detergent, and just two changes made, while I was trad, payed dividends when I finally changed over to wfp.

Now I am convinced that changing over to wfp in the winter is better and the reasons are as stated by a few guy's,  on here, if there are any mistakes in your work, the chances the customer seeing it is reduced, as its normally dark when they get home, and by the time the summer comes you should be a little more experienced and up to speed.

Also I found using wfp over the past couple of weeks, there hasn't been any complaints with regards to the ground being left wet, thanks to the wet weather, so come the summer the customer has already seen the results of better cleaning.

But my question is, do you normally get any problems in the summer, with customers moaning that your leaving every were wet, or if there sat at there patio's, and say not today were having a patio lunch?

just want to look a head and be prepared with some good answers.
I know unless the reason is genuine, and they say not today they will be bid farewell.

Only had it happen the once ,
they were all sat having lunch and it would have been difficult to move eveything so we called back later and did them
the customer was fine
the other thing you could do is treat it as a fronts only as we do if we can't get round the backs somtime ,say if the dogs out or the gate is lock
generaly i think people will understand

This will be my 6th summer using wfp and never had a problem with people siting on the patios, if they are outside i ask Politely for them to move so i can clean the windows. They always move

As for standing water on the really hot day the water will evaporate away before you have finished cleaning the house.

never had a problem with that, however i clean a lot of flats as well and windows left open (sash type) is my biggest problem in the warmer months.

Looks like I have nothing to worry about then. 

I must admit, I do have a good relationship with the mojority of my customers and I think thats, what counts.
you tend to get to know if any customer is pulling a fast one, and that only comes with experience.

My biggest problem are open velux windows. I have a lot of customers with velux and they can be very hard to close with wfp. I think next summer I will just bypass them if they are left open but I will still charge them

On hot days use more water. I find it reduces spotting.

Glad you mentioned the open window bit, I never thought of that one, how do you guy's close them, if you use the pole  is there not a chance you will break your goose neck or angle adaptor???

My first day WFPing last summer was on the hottest July day since records began! 
Open windows are a pain but most UPVC windows will shut with a little force. The old fashioned windows that are left open on a latch are a nightmare, you just have to knock down your water pressure & be careful.

Repeatedly tap the open window with your pole; don't push it as you'll bend and break your pole.

Or you can clean them while they're open; depending on the window type.

Sash windows, with the bottom part of the sash open can be a pain.

I've also had problems with customers opening windows on hot days, straight after I've cleaned the windows with a WFP; opening the top opening windows and dripping dirty water onto the window below it.

i find i can now clean all the windows that are open, apart from if the top fanlight is shut and the lower casement is open

i hope its not too hot, dont want the paint to peel off the campervan and the old aircooled engine doesnt like extreme heat

Have you thought about putting a trigger on the end of your pole, its great, you will use less water but you wont get every where so wet.

Macc I have a tap on my hose, I am only using more water at the moment because there all first cleans, well before the summer my flow will be turned down by then (I hope)

I have one posh customer who likes to entertain in there back garden or should I say park  last time they asked if I could do the front first, so by the time I got to the back, they had finished, and asked me if I would like a doggy bag with three dogs on the property, I thought twice about it and declined his kind offer  Might have been the salmon or the might have been the shog dit, knowing my luck it would have been the latter

Open windows can be a pain but I just knock on the door and ask them to shut them ...........maybe I am lucky most of my customers are at home during the day it also makes getting my money easier
